Our Programs
The Chinese Autism Family Resilience, Preparedness & Connection Program is TPS's flagship community initiative supporting Chinese-speaking families raising autistic children. Built around three interconnected program areas—Emergency Preparedness, Family Resilience, and Community Connection—the program aims to help families navigate everyday challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and support.
Many Chinese-speaking families are not lacking in available services, but in access to trusted information, culturally appropriate support, and meaningful community connections. Language, cultural, and information barriers can make it difficult for families to understand, access, and benefit from the high-quality services already available across Victoria.
Rather than creating parallel services, the program focuses on strengthening pathways that connect families with Victoria's existing health, disability, carer, and community support systems. Through community initiatives, carer support, emergency preparedness, resource navigation, and collaborative partnerships, TPS aims to help build a more connected, inclusive, and resilient Chinese-speaking community.
The following initiatives represent the organisation's future development priorities and are currently under development. They are not part of the organisation's current operational programs.
Future Initiatives
This initiative is currently under development and aims to help Chinese-speaking women better understand and access Australia's legal support systems through information sharing, community engagement and culturally appropriate guidance.
The initiative focuses on improving access to reliable legal information and helping Chinese-speaking women better understand the legal support services and community resources available in Australia.
It aims to provide introductory information sessions, community discussions, and practical guidance on how to navigate public legal support systems and community resources.
The organisation also seeks to build partnerships with community organisations, legal education programs and public institutions to support the future development of this initiative.

The initiative focuses on improving access to parenting information, community networks, and reliable resources for Chinese-speaking mothers living in Melbourne.
It aims to create opportunities for mothers to connect, share experiences, and access practical information related to parenting, family wellbeing, child development, and available community services.
